Benefits of Using a Vibration Trainer

Benefits of Using a Vibration Trainer

If you’ve stopped into any of our three Phoenix-area stores, you may have seen our selection of DKN Vibration Trainers. But, with all of the different types of workout equipment available, what is a vibration trainer or vibration plate, and why would you want to add one to your home gym? Here are a number of benefits of using a vibration trainer.

First, what is a vibration trainer, also known as a vibration plate? A vibration plate is a fitness training system that can increase your weight loss potential. Studies have shown that you can burn more than 170 calories in just five minutes when using a vibration trainer. A vibration trainer also stimulates your muscles, improves the flow of lymph, decreases blood pressure and increases blood circulation and oxygenation.

How a Vibration Trainer Works

A vibration trainer can be used during strength training, yoga, or pilates training sessions. Training with a vibration trainer involves holding a series of standing poses on the units vibration plate. The vibrations cause your muscles to contract at a far higher rate than when you would otherwise just be standing there – this forces your muscles to contract repeatedly and alternately for improved muscle strength, balance and coordination.

Benefit #1 – Vibration Training Strengthens Bones and Muscles

When you do strength training, the stress you put on your muscles also helps to strengthen your bones. And, when you do a “normal” workout, those muscles contract one to two times per second. When you’re using a vibration trainer, the vibration causes your muscles to contract 30 to 50 times per second. And, unlike other forms of exercise which work on only about 40% of your muscle fibers, vibration plate training works on up to 90% of your muscle fibers to help you strengthen muscles and develop more muscle tissue. This leads to increased muscle density and greatly increased strength. You’ll enjoy improved balance, coordination and posture, and increased bone density.

Vibration Plate Training Stimulates Production of Helpful Hormones

Using a vibration trainer also causes your body to produce increased levels of human growth hormone (HGH). HGH helps your body to repair and regener damaged muscles, bones and other tissues – so you’ll find that you recover faster from your workouts. And, your body will also produce more serotonin, the hormone responsible for feelings of happiness and well being, and less cortisol, the hormone responsible for feelings of stress and anxiety.

Vibration Training Improves How Your Immune System Functions

All those muscle contractions also stimulate your lymph glands. Your lymphatic system is a network of tissues and organs that help rid the body of toxins, waste and other unwanted materials. The primary function of the lymphatic system is to transport lymph, a fluid containing infection-fighting white blood cells, throughout the body
Stimulating your muscles will lead to increased blood circulation as well – helping to not only lower your blood pressure, but increased blood flow means more oxygen to your muscles, resulting in more energy throught the day.

Vibration Training Stimulates Your Metabolism

As your muscles grow, they need more fuel, which causes your body to burn fat and calories from food faster. As your metabolism increases, you’ll burn more fat, even when you’re not working out.

One of the last benefits of a vibration trainer is that besides an increase in energy, your mental focus will be enriched and enhanced, and you will sleep better! So, stop into any of Fitness 4 Home Superstore’s 3 Valley area stores, and try out one of our selection of vibration trainers from DKN!
