Try this 20 minute Rowing Machine Workout!

Try this 20 minute Rowing Machine Workout! Is your cardio workout getting stale? If you’re looking to get a great cardio workout, you can’t beat a rowing machine. You’ll burn 50% more calories than you will on a treadmill or elliptical, while strengthening muscles from your shoulders to your calves! Whether you own a rower, or are looking to purchase one, here’s a great, 20 minute rowing machine workout that will help revitalize your cardio workouts!

  1. Set your rower settings: Set the damper (the device on the side of the flywheel that controls the drag – and resistance – of your rower) – and set it between 3 and 5.
  2. Set your pace: Set the mode you are exercising at to do a 3 minute warm up at a pace of 2:30 for 500 meters. After the warmup, row for 6 minutes at a pace of 2.15 per 500 meters.
  3. Stretch! At the 10 minute mark – stop, stand up, and either stretch, or if you want to increase your overall workout, do walking lunges. Do this for 1 minute.
  4. 2nd Period of Rowing: Row at a pace of 2:15 per 500 meters for another 6 minutes.
  5. Cool Down: Row as a relaxed pace of 2:30 per 500 meters for the last 2 minutes.

You’ve now had a great workout in the same time others take to just warm up!
