It’s Not Too Late to Make Fitness Resolutions

It’s Not Too Late to Make Fitness Resolutions If you didn’t make any fitness resolutions this year—or you did, and failed to stick to them—don’t despair. You are not alone. In fact, you have quite a bit of company. Many people start and abort a few attempts at establishing a new fitness routine before they manage to stick with it and find a routine that works for them.

For those who have been slow to get traction with the workout routine they had hoped to launch in 2015, the window of opportunity hasn’t slammed shut. There is always a chance to turn things in a positive direction, if you have the desire and determination. You can still take the opportunity to start or revive a New Year’s resolution. There is no law saying you can only embark on a new lifestyle change or healthy endeavor on the first day of January. It’s never too late to start making positive changes and embrace healthy habits.

Convenience is key

One of the biggest reasons (or excuses, depending on how you look at it) why people abandon or never start a workout routine is due to lack of time. Everyone is busy, and trying to squeeze one more thing into your schedule can indeed be a challenge. Many people also cite the hassles involved with finding and going to a gym. The driving, traffic, parking and possible crowds can all be deterrents that make people want to avoid traveling to a gym.

So the key to developing a fitness routine that you can and will stick with is often a matter of convenience and accessibility. And it’s tough to make things more convenient than having access to your own personal fitness center right in your home. This eliminates a lot of the excuses and deterrents that might prevent you from going to a commercial gym.

When you have fitness equipment in your house, you don’t have to travel anywhere to get a workout. You can exercise whenever you want, and don’t need to worry about how you look or what you are wearing.

Best of all, it’s easy and affordable to set up a basic home gym. You can start off simple with a few core pieces of home exercise equipment and then gradually expand your home gym as you go along.
